During the production process of corrugated cardboard production lines, various problems may arise from time to time, such as poor adhesion, which is a very common issue.
Specifically manifested as: after the cardboard has been initially glued for 5 minutes, under external force, the inner, outer, or A, B flutes or core areas are completely separated.
Moreover, all paper fibers are intact, not fuzzed, and there are white or colorless strips at the adhesive points, with no fibers attached.
Causes and Solutions
① Excessive tension on the face paper - Adjust the braking device to reduce friction.
② Excessive moisture in the face paper and core paper - Increase the preheating surface or change the paper, reduce the speed.
③ Insufficient adhesive application - Increase the amount of adhesive applied.
④ Imbalance between the glue roller and the floating roller - Adjust the reasonable gap between the two.
⑤ The lift of the sail cloth is not functioning properly - Check the oil pressure device and mechanical adjustment system.
⑥ Poor quality of adhesive - Correct the quality of the adhesive and use suitable adhesive.
⑦ Insufficient heat, poor starch gelatinization - Check and eliminate factors causing insufficient heat.
⑧ Excessive heat, starch coagulating too early - Properly reduce preheating or decrease pressure.
⑨ Adhesive forming lumps, uneven application - Address the quality of the adhesive.
