The process flow of single-sided corrugated board is to produce single-sided corrugated cardboard with corrugation and inner paper firmly bonded by a single-sided corrugating machine, which is then conveyed by a bridge to the gluing machine for coating the composite face paper, followed by drying in a dryer, and finally pressed, longitudinally cut, and cross-cut according to production requirements to make box boards.
Clearly, the main reasons for the waste of raw paper and the low yield of cardboard products occur in several key processes: the single-sided machine, bridge transportation, gluing and composite, drying, and the longitudinal and transverse cutting of the line paper.
Single-sided corrugating machine
1. After the single-sided machine is started, raw paper is input, and the corrugated paper and inner paper are not aligned properly.The paper is not aligned properly.
First, the output paper is skewed, and the speed can be adjusted instantly to correct it.
Secondly, the edge lines of the inner and corrugated paper rolls are not on the same straight line. This can be solved using the "three points and one line method." That is, set a point on the surface of the preheater of the corrugating machine or the inner and corrugated paper, before starting the machine, place the paper on the non-axle support, and then press the button on the non-axle support at one end of the corrugated or inner paper, visually adjust left and right until the edge lines of the corrugated and inner paper align with the set point to form a line.
2. The raw paper cracks after passing through the preheater, causing paper breaks.
First, reduce the preheating area according to the paper quality. When a joint appears, manually pull the raw paper or assist in reducing mechanical tension in the direction of the raw paper's rotation to avoid breaks.
3. During inspection at the manufacturer, the inner and corrugated paper rolls have small tears the size of a palm, leading to a lack of material in the single-sided corrugated cardboard after inputting into the corrugating machine.
Before starting the machine, prepare inner and corrugated paper slightly larger than a palm (the color and weight per square meter must match the raw paper on the corrugation). If the inner paper has a gap, use inner paper; if the corrugated paper has a gap, use corrugated paper. Apply a small amount of glue from the glue tray, and before the raw paper enters the corrugating machine, clamp the gap on both sides and stick it on. The action must be quick, accurate, timely, and safe.
4. After meeting the production quantity, there are leftover paper heads, with one side of the corrugated paper more and the other side less.
Generally, there is no need to cut it off until the side with less raw paper is used up, and when stopping the machine, use a knife to cut the raw paper neatly. The excess single-sided corrugated cardboard can be used in the next production when using the same width and quality of raw paper, by bonding it with the newly produced single-sided corrugated cardboard on the bridge conveyor.
Additionally, if there is a need to stop the machine and there are leftover paper heads, they can be manually rewound onto a large roll of the same specification and quality.
5. Try to avoid frequent machine starts, which can effectively prevent parts of the inner and corrugated paper from not bonding.
